How RF Microneedling Works
Similar to traditional microneedling treatments, Vivace RF Microneedling is a minimally invasive procedure that uses tiny needle tips to create micro-injuries that trigger new collagen production. RF Microneedling takes the treatment a step further by also delivering radio frequency (RF) heat energy deep within the skin tissue to more effectively encourage skin rejuvenation.
Here at our Arlington studio, Honey Skincare utilizes the state-of-the-art Vivace tip, which is also equipped with red LED light therapy and is well-known for its anti-inflammatory and elastin-stimulating properties.
After deeply cleansing the treatment area, your Honey Skincare provider will apply a topical numbing cream and place you under an LED light for maximum absorption. Following the treatment, medical-grade serums will be applied to aid and accelerate the healing process.

Unlike laser treatments, RF Microneedling can treat most skin tones and types, including tanned or dark skin. This gives Vivace RF Microneedling treatments a major advantage over other non-invasive skin care procedures.
How long does an RF Microneedling treatment take?
In total, it takes roughly 2 hours to complete. There are various consequential stages that take place such as deep cleansing your skin and then numbing.
How long do RF Microneedling results last?
Everyone is different, but the collagen and elastin your body makes are your own and continue their accelerated production over the next 6 months. Results will vary depending on the number of treatments and the number of maintenance treatments that a client chooses. We recommend a series of 3-4 treatments, spaced 4-6 weeks apart, for optimal results.
How long is the recovery after RF Microneedling?
Recovery may be accelerated by utilizing serums and recovery protocols carefully selected by your Honey Skincare Studio provider. Although clients should avoid direct sunlight for at least a week following treatment, most are ready to go out on the town within 2-3 days post-treatment with no indication they have had an aesthetic procedure.
What should I avoid after RF Microneedling?
We always recommend avoiding vigorous exercise for at least 24 hours after receiving an RF Microneedling treatment. This will allow the skin time to heal and reduce the already low risk of infection. There should be no use of exfoliants (including retinol) or direct sun exposure for 7-10 days after the procedure. Non-chemical sunscreen may be applied after 24 hours.
